JioHotstar Plans have been confirmed and here's what you get for watching ad-free videos across multiple devices.
JioHotstar platform offers 300,000 hours of content across 19 languages.
The big JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merger was confirmed earlier this month, giving us the new-look JioHotstar platform for the digital users. JioHotstar is basically a combination of the content and shows that you were watching on these digital platforms and now you get all of them under one brand.
JioHotstar is one of the biggest upgrades to happen in the video streaming arena and many people have been confused about their current plans with these apps which we have explained here. Now, it is time to look at the new JioHotstar plans that are available for users based on their needs, budget and device support they require for their account.
JioHotstar Plans: Price, Features And More
JioHotstar users get the plans in three forms that can be bought for 3 months or 12 months (one year). The plans have respective limits on the video quality of the content, how many devices you can stream at a time and which platforms are supported.
JioHotstar Mobile Plan
The new JioHotstar offers plans starting from Rs 149 for three months which gets you the mobile-only plan with ads. The plan is accessible on mobile and usable on one device at a time. You can even get the Rs 499 version of the Mobile plan that gives you the same benefits for one year.
JioHotStar Super Plan
If you are happy to spend more, JioHotstar will offer you better returns. The Super plan comes at Rs 299 for three months, or Rs 899 for the whole year. For this money, you can access content on two devices at a time, run the app on the web, mobile or smart TV app. You will see ads across content with this plan.
JioHotstar Premium Plan
And the last JioHotstar plan gives you the best features and benefits at Rs 299 for one month, Rs 499 for three months or Rs 1,499 for one year. With this plan, you can stream content on four devices at a time and enjoy content without ads (except for live shows and matches).
Those of you already using the Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema services in the country will continue to run their existing subscription till it ends. This means, if you have paid for Hotstar and your plan is valid till April 2025, it remains the same. If you have paid for JioCinema, subscribers can continue using the service for the available period.
