K Kavitha Makes Explosive Allegations: ‘Conspiracy Within BRS To Break My Family’

For the first time since her suspension from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K Kavitha held a press conference, unleashing a string of serious allegations against her own party leaders and family rivals.

Kavitha claimed that the alleged conspiracy against her family began when BRS senior leader T Harish Rao and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were spotted travelling together on the same flight. “From that moment, efforts were made to weaken and divide our family. Harish Rao surrendered at Revanth Reddy’s feet, and that’s when the plan began," she charged.

The former Nizamabad MP accused Harish Rao and Santosh Rao of being behind the pressure that led to a CBI probe against her father and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). “If there is an inquiry against KCR today, it is because of Harish and Santosh. They are the reason my family is being targeted," she alleged.

Kavitha also took aim at Harish Rao’s past, alleging corruption linked to milk supply contracts to hostels when he came to power. “Revanth Reddy himself has spoken about a scam worth lakh of crores, but when it comes to Harish Rao, he remains silent. Instead, they keep targeting only KCR," she said.

Terming the conflict as an internal power struggle, Kavitha alleged that vested interests within the party wanted to sideline her to seize control of BRS. “First, I was removed. This will not stop here. Tomorrow, it will be KTR, and even my father will face the same fate if we do not act. The conspiracy is clear — they want to take over the party by breaking our unity," she warned.

Recalling her five-and-a-half months in Tihar Jail on corruption charges, Kavitha said she returned to public life on November 23 last year and launched several grassroots movements — including campaigns for Gurukulam schools, BC reservations, women’s financial aid of Rs 2,500, and roundtable meetings on issues faced by displaced villagers near Bhadradri and Bhadrachalam. She also claimed to have mobilised BRS workers across 47 constituencies to address people’s concerns.

“Do these activities amount to anti-party work? Or are they people’s issues?" she asked, urging senior BRS leaders to reconsider the decision against her.
