The last rites of the victims of the Madinah bus accident took place today in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The last rites of 45 Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad who died in a bus accident near Madinah in Saudi Arabia took place on Saturday. As per the official update, Andhra Pradesh governor Justice S. Abdul Nazeer attended the funeral.
The funeral prayers were held at the Prophet’s Mosque and the burial of the mortal remains was done at the cemetery of Jannat ul Baqi at Madinah.
Indian embassy in Riyadh shared pictures on social media and wrote, “The last rites of the victims of the Madinah bus accident took place on November 22 in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri Justice S. Abdul Nazeer took part in the funeral prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque and burial of the mortal remains at the sacred cemetey of Jannat ul Baqi at Madinah. Ambassador Dr Suhel Khan and Consul General @CGIJeddah Shri Fahad Suri also joined the relatives and well wishers in the final rites. The Embassy once again expresses deep condolences on this tragic accident."

In the tragic collision between a bus and a tanker near Medinah, 45 Indian Umrah pilgrims died.
A total of 54 pilgrims from Hyderabad left for Jeddah on November 9 as part of an Umrah tour scheduled from November 9 to 23. Of them, four individuals proceeded to Madinah separately by car, while another four remained in Makkah due to personal reasons. The remaining 46 pilgrims boarded the bus involved in the fatal crash.
Out of the 46 passengers, 45 died at the scene after the bus was completely burnt. Only one individual, Md Abdul Shoaib, survived the fire.
