A leaked recording reveals a US Air Force pilot reported a UFO in California. The object allegedly moved at Mach 2 speeds.
The pilot tried to get a visual of the object, but failed to do so.
A US Air Force pilot is said to have had a close encounter with a UFO in September last year. As per a leaked audio recording acquired by NewsNation's Banfield, an Air Force pilot was flying in California on September 17 when he noticed a UFO.
The pilot was flying a Beechcraft 350. The recording is from a conversation between the pilot and Los Angeles Air Traffic Control. The pilot, identified as "Troy 21," informs ATC that a football-sized object passed underneath his jet.
“This is going to sound weird. But I just had something pass underneath my wing. Maybe a football-sized object right under my wing.”
The call was made around 2:30 p.m. The pilot tried to get a visual of the object, but failed to do so. Troy 21 said, “I’ve got my sensor operator looking for it on the camera right now, we’ll see if we can find it.” The pilot further described it as a dark, cylindrical object, passing about 10 feet below the right wing of the aircraft.
Just forty seconds later, the plane's radar spotted an object about 60 miles away. The Beechcraft 350 being was reportedly equipped with complex radar systems to track drug traffickers. However, it is unclear if it was the same object.
If the UFO was the same object that appeared on the radar, it must've exceeded Mach 2 speeds within two minutes, something which is not possible for most drones.
It is claimed that the plane was likely involved in a drug interdiction mission by the Department of Homeland Security. The plane was flying at an altitude of 20,000 feet.
The air traffic controller reported the incident to the UFO Reporting Center. They said, “There was some UFO reported here, but that’s all taken care of now, so you don’t have to worry about it.”
The outlet claims that the UFO must've exceeded Mach 2 speeds within two minutes, something which is not possible for most drones.
Turkish airport suspends operation over UFO sighting
The Gaziantep Airport in Turkey on Tuesday temporarily grounded all flights at 10 p.m. after a plane spotted a UFO nearby.
As per Hurriyet.com.tr, the pilots radioed the control tower immediately, informing that they had seen an unidentified object at around 10,000 feet. The object was not spotted on the airport's radar. It was later concluded that the object was likely an unauthorised drone.
The suspension of operations at the airport lasted for one hour.
