Mahua Moitra And Pinaki Misra Wedding: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has tied the knot with former BJD MP Pinaki Misra in a private ceremony abroad, according to multiple media reports.
A photo, reportedly from the wedding, surfaced showing 50-year-old Moitra and 65-year-old Misra holding hands and smiling. However, there has been no official confirmation of the wedding from the two politicians.
Moitra, known for her fiery speeches in Parliament, was elected twice from West Bengal’s Krishnanagar seat. During her first term as MP, she was disqualified over “cash-for-query" allegations.

Who Is Mahua Moitra?
Moitra was born on October 12, 1974, in Assam. She began her career as an investment banker before taking the political plunge. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, USA.
In 2010, she joined Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) and secured her first electoral victory in 2019 from the Karimpur assembly constituency in West Bengal.
Moitra is one of TMC’s most prominent faces in Parliament, known for her fiery speeches during debates on bills and key discussions. She has consistently taken on the BJP-led government, often drawing national attention for her sharp criticism and articulate arguments.
Who Is Pinaki Misra?
Born on October 23, 1959, in Odisha’s Puri, Misra holds a BA (Hons) degree in History from St. Stephen’s College and an LLB from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Misra began his political career with the Indian Congress, securing his first victory from the Puri Lok Sabha constituency in 1996. He later joined Naveen Patnaik’s Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and has been re-elected multiple times—in 2009 (2nd term), 2014 (3rd term), and 2019 (4th term).
During his tenure, he has served as a member of several key parliamentary panels, including the Standing Committee on Finance, Business Advisory Committee, Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Defence, Standing Committee on Civil Aviation, and the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Law & Justice.
