 Eicher Motors shares climb after selling 1 million vehicles in FY25

Eicher Motors Ltd., known for its motorcycle brand Royal Enfield, announced its highest-ever annual sales on Tuesday, April 1, crossing the milestone of 1 million vehicles sold in financial year 2025.

The company reported total sales of 10,09,900 units in the financial year gone by, a growth of 11% compared to the previous financial year (FY24).

Overall sales for the month of March grew by 34% from last year to 1.01 lakh units. This was led by strong domestic sales, which grew 33% in March to 88,050 units, while exports went up by 36% on a year-on-year basis to 12,971 units.

For the full year, domestic sales were up 8% to over 9 lakh units, while exports also crossed the mark of 1 lakh units, registering a growth of 37% from last year.

The Hunter 350 surpassed 5,00,000 units in sales, while the Super Meteor 650 sold over 50,000 units, Eicher Motors said.

Eicher Motors Managing Director and Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan highlighted the company's global expansion efforts, including the launch of the Thailand Assembly Plant and entry into Bangladesh. Royal Enfield also introduced several new models this year, including the much-anticipated Flying Flea electric motorcycle brand, the Guerrilla 450, Bear 650, Classic 650 & Goan Classic 350.

Shares of Eicher Motors are currently trading 1% higher on Tuesday at ₹5,398.8. The stock is trading close to its 52-week high.
