India’s state-run shipbuilder Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd on Wednesday, December 10, announced that the company in association with the Indian Navy has signed an MoU with Brazilian Navy to boost cooperation on maintenance of Scorpène-class submarines and other military vessels.
In a regulatory filing, Mazagon Dock informed the exchanges that the agreement covers collaboration on procurement opportunities, exchange of expertise in defence manufacturing, and joint work in research, development and technological innovation.
Shares of the company closed at ₹2,434 apiece, which is 2.21 % lower than the day's opening on the NSE.
In October, the company reported a 28.1% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹749 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, up from ₹585 crore in the same period last year, aided by higher revenue and improved margins.
Revenue from operations increased 6.3% year-on-year to ₹2,929 crore, compared with ₹2,756 crore a year ago.
EBITDA surged 36.1% to ₹695 crore, compared with ₹510.2 crore a year earlier. The company’s operating margin expanded to 23.7% from 18.5%, reflecting better cost management and operating leverage.
