OnePlus Turbo is the latest from the brand and will be launching in China early next month to mark the start of 2026 for the segment.
The Turbo 6 model will feature a massive 9,000mAh battery
OnePlus has been teasing a new Turbo phone over the last few weeks and the brand has finally unveiled the product, its design and shared the specs of the new device. OnePlus had just hosted a global event to launch the OnePlus 15R and before that we saw the flagship OnePlus 15 announced. It seems the brand is already planning for a busy 2026 and starting the year with an absolute bang.
The company has hosted an event in China this week, where we have seen the new OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V models confirmed along with most of their hardware features.
OnePlus Turbo 6 Series Launch In China
The OnePlus Turbo 6 series is launching in China on January 8, 2026 and both the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will be part of the event. These two phones could gradually make its way to other regions later next year.
OnePlus Turbo 6 And Turbo 6V Specs Revealed
The company has confirmed most of the features that were leaked before. This is the first OnePlus phone to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery which would have been a first in the segment, but Honor stole that credit with its own 10,000mAh battery phone.
The Turbo 6 is going to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and a flat design like the 15 series. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The phone has a 9,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging. Like most phones launched these days, the Turbo comes with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for durability against water and dust. Having said that, the company is going with a plastic frame at the back which hints at an aggressive pricing for the device. We expect the phone to launch with OxygenOS 16 version and most likely offered with a dual rear camera system.
OnePlus Turbo series might be limited to China but the brand is tipped to launch the phone in other regions, probably with a new moniker or even make it part of the Nord series.
