The moment in which Putin was seen smiling at Sharif and, at one point, trying to show his Pakistani counterpart how to put on headphones, is going viral on social media.

While Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was caught on camera fumbling with his headset while meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, a similar faux pas he encountered in 2022. The moment in which the Russian leader was seen smiling at Sharif and, at one point, trying to show his Pakistani counterpart how to put on headphones, is going viral on social media.

In the clip that is going viral, the headset can be seen slipping off Sharif’s ears despite his desperate efforts to keep it in place. At one point, Putin picks up his own headset while trying to show how to put it on.

Sharif’s embarrassment came after he was trolled on social media as he was seen running to Russian President Vladimir Putin to shake his hand during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2025 in China.

Notably, this is not the first time that Sharif witnessed such embarrassment. In fact, in 2022 as well, the Pakistani Prime Minister was seen struggling with his headset, that too, during a meeting with Putin at the SCO summit in Uzbekistan.

Reacting to the incident, a social media user wrote, “Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Headphone fumble at SCO leaves Putin laughing, again!". “ Bezzati," wrote another user.
