 Bharat Electronics wins contract worth ₹1,640 crore

Navratna Public Sector Company, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has informed the exchanges that it has bagged an order worth ₹1,640 crore.

BEL has signed a contract with the Defence Ministry for the supply of Air Defence Fire Control Radars to the Indian Army.

These indigenous radars designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL provide effective defence against air threats during day and night under all weather conditions.

These radars having inbuilt ECM capabilities are used for surveillance, acquisition,tracking of air targets and control of air defence guns for effective neutralization. The system is modular by design and is easy to deploy, operate and maintain.

On July 24, BEL had received additional orders worth ₹563 crore since its last disclosure on June 30, 2025.

The new orders span a range of critical defence equipment and systems, including the national maritime domain awareness system, inertial navigation systems for guns, and advanced communication equipment.

Shares of Bharat Electronics are trading 0.79% lower at ₹395.10. The stock has risen 35% so far in 2025.
