As the Iran war entered its 13th day, satellite images showed Iranian strikes on three strategic targets in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, according to reports.

Satellite imagery confirmed direct hits on Fujairah’s oil zone, Sharjah’s industrial area, and US logistics facilities at Kuwait’s Al-Salem base. The strikes were reported to be in retaliation for the recent US-Israeli attack on Tehran’s oil facilities.

The US-Israel war against Iran, known as Operation Epic Fury, began on February 28. More than 900 airstrikes were launched that day, killing Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, along with several top officials.

Israel strikes Iranian oil facilities

Israel struck Iranian oil facilities on March 7, the eighth day of the war, hitting more than 30 fuel depots, refineries and storage sites around Tehran. The attacks sparked massive fires, with reports describing “rivers of fire" in the streets.

Key targets included the Aghdasieh warehouse, the Tehran refinery, the Shahran and Shah oil depots, and a facility in Karaj in Alborz Province. Four people were reported killed, while toxic smoke and acid rain were reported in the area.

The White House reportedly sent Israel a “WTF" message over the scale of the strikes. Iran later targeted Gulf oil infrastructure, including a refinery fire in Fujairah and a shutdown at the Ras Tanura oil terminal, while avoiding its major fields at Ahvaz and Gachsaran to preserve exports to China. Oil prices briefly rose above $100 per barrel.

Iran targets Gulf oil and gas facilities

Iran has targeted oil and gas facilities across the Gulf since early March 2026, during days three to fourteen of the US-Israel-Iran war. The attacks aimed to disrupt around 20 per cent of global energy supplies passing through the Strait of Hormuz and pushed Brent crude prices to between $92 and over $100 per barrel.

Key strikes included a fire and partial shutdown at the Ras Tanura refinery in Saudi Arabia on March 2, and halted LNG production at Qatar’s North Field gas plants the same day.

Attacks also caused fires at the Fujairah refinery and port in the UAE, while explosions were reported at Oman’s Salalah port and Iraq’s Al-Faw oil tankers on March 11. Iran launched more than 1,000 drones and missiles. Gulf defences intercepted over 90 per cent, but debris caused fires and casualties.
