Sensex Today | Nifty 50 LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 jumps from one expiry to another as the Sensex weekly expiry gets pushed forward by a day on account of Thursday's market holiday. The moves on the index recently has hinged on banks.

The Nifty Bank's outperformance kept the Nifty afloat for a better part of Tuesday's trade, but as that index came off the highs, things began to unravel. After an extremely volatile session, the Nifty bulls managed to defend 25,700, which did look possible considering the options data.

That level becomes key on the downside now for the index, followed by Tuesday's low of 25,600. The Nifty Bank has managed to close above 59,500, and it remains to be seen whether that is sustained.

Today is a day of capital market earnings, with stocks like Groww, HDFC AMC, the newly listed ICICI Prudential AMC all reporting results. After market closing, tech giant Infosys reports its numbers and all eyes will be on its guidance. Also keep an eye on Tata Elxsi, Kotak Bank and ICICI Lombard.
