Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: After Q4 results, the market closed higher but off highs, with Nifty above 24,100, Nifty Bank underperforming, and Kotak Mahindra Bank falling more than 3%. The midcap index performs better and maintains market breadth in favour of advancements.
The Sensex is up 356 points to 77,269, the Nifty is up 122 points to 24,119, the Nifty Bank is up 15 points to 54,879; and the Midcap Index is up 375 points to 60,160.
In April, Royal Enfield sales increased 31% year over year, while Eicher Motors gained more than 3%.
Godrej Properties gains more than 3% after a 70% YoY increase in Q4 net profit, while Adani Ports rises more than 5% after strong Q4 results, making it the top Nifty gainer. Vodafone Idea increases by about 3% while the government lowers Telco's AGR dues by 27%.
