Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is the last hour of trading on Dalal Street, and as the market experiences some little turbulence before closing, things are becoming intriguing. The Nifty is up over 270 points, rising to 24,300. The Nifty Bank index is relatively underwhelming, trading just under 500 points, around 55,600. Maruti, ITC and Eternal are the top gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is the final hour of trade on Dalal Street, and things are getting interesting before the closing as the market witnesses minor volatility.
At this juncture, the markets are looking to recover from the lows.
The markets have kick-started the beginning of the May F&O series for the Nifty contracts on a positive note. The Nifty is up over 200 points, jumping to the 24,200 mark. The Sensex index is up over 700 points, jumping to 78,000.
The price of Brent Crude has surged to $115 per barrel.
Even as the index rises, the 24,000 mark remains the key for the Nifty, whose downside has been capped over the last two sessions.
On the upside, the 24,200 level has proven to be a congestion zone over the last two days.
For the Nifty Bank, 55,000 on the downside now holds the key; the index is currently moving tepidly by over 100 points.
The shares of Garden Reach, CEAT and Star Health all surged by over 10% intraday.
In addition, Bajaj Finance, Vedanta, Motilal Oswal, Mphasis, Indian Bank, and Indian Overseas Bank, among many others, are the key results to be reported today. Vedanta will also be in the spotlight a day before it begins trading ex-demerger.
