Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Today is the weekly expiry of the Nifty 50 contracts, the first of this April series. The index on Monday saw a repeat of Thursday's session, where the intraday dip got bought into on hopes of a potential ceasefire between the US and Iran.
Oil prices though, continue to remain elevated, above the mark of $110. The price action of the last two days has shown that the bulls do not want to give up on the 22,000 mark just yet.
The Nifty closed above last week's high but 23,000 still remains a barrier. On the downside, 22,500 will be the first level to watch, as the index reversed from those levels on Monday. Similar to yesterday, the Nifty Bank continues to remain the index to watch, with another 1,500-point recovery from the lows.
The index now aims for 53,000 on the upside, while the 51,000 mark has emerged as a key support. Business updates continue to flow with stocks like Jubilant Foodworks, CreditAccess Grameen and others reporting their quarterly updates.
