Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Today is the start of a new month, new quarter, new F&O series and a new financial year as well, and the Nifty bulls would hope that their fortunes are better after the worst point drop on record in the March series. What could boost sentiments is a relief rally on Wall Street overnight with the Dow surging over 1,100 points. While any form of de-escalation is a positive, oil prices not falling is a pain point.

Brent and WTI both remain between the $90 to $105 a barrel mark. The other key monitorable is the currency, which had a free fall on Monday before closing above 95. For the Nifty, 22,700 - 22,800 will be the level to watch on the upside, while 22,000 on the downside holds the key now.

The Nifty Bank has almost entered bear market territory and will be aiming for a bounce if there is one today. The question is, will the bounce sustain? Keep an eye on capital market stocks, oil & gas names, auto stocks for sales updates and companies like IREDA, who released their Q4 business updates too.
