Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: What was feared has come to pass, as the Nifty index stumbled, falling by over 100 points, falling behind the 25,000 mark yet again. This also means that the 50-stock index is now below the 50-Day Moving Average.
That level of 25,058 will remain the key going into today's trading session.
While the Nifty Bank recovered a little, the broader markets, ie the small-cap and the mid-cap indices, are trading with deep cuts of under 1%.
The shares of Bajaj Finance slipped over 5% after the company, after its Q1 results on Thursday, was downgraded by JPMorgan. The shares of Bajaj Finserv slipped ahead of its results today. Some other major movements in focus include Authum Investment, which, after a large trade declined by over 14%.
Some of the big names reporting their results include Bajaj Finserv, Cipla, Laurus Labs, Shriram Finance, Tata Chemicals, and Bank of Baroda, among others.
