Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The market reaction to the US-Israel-Iran war has been a negative one, on expected lines. The Dow futures have dropped over 500 points in early trading on Sunday evening local time.
This, after Brent crude crossed the $80 per barrel mark as trade resumed after the Israel-Iran conflict developed into a full-blown war across the Gulf region. The US Dollar has risen, as have prices of Gold and Silver.
The Nifty had an inkling of the weekend developments, as evident from the price action seen in the last 30 minutes, with the index dropping over 150 points in a matter of minutes. The index will now first fight to hold the 25,000 mark, following which, levels of 24,850 and then the Budget-day low of 24,571 also open up on the downside.
Oil-linked stocks will be in focus today, such as ONGC, Oil India, HPCL and the likes, along with Aviation and Tourism names, and of course, stocks with exposure to the middle east, such as L&T, KEC , VA Tech Wabag, and others.
