Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are trading under immense pressure. The Nifty index is down about 400 points, falling towards 23,700. The Nifty Bank index is also down, falling over 1,200 points, dropping to 52,200. Tata Steel, SBI and JSW Steel are some of the biggest laggards.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The sell-on-rallies template on the Nifty remains intact, as despite a 300-point gap-up on Friday, the index could not sustain at those levels. There have been no signs of easing of the war in West Asia as the index enters a truncated week.
The market holiday on Thursday means that there will be consecutive days of expiry, Tuesday for the Nifty contracts and Wednesday for the Sensex. For the Nifty, 23,000 continues to remain the most important level before the recent swing low of 22,930 comes into play. The Nifty Bank continues to remain the index in focus due to issues surrounding HDFC Bank.
The Nifty Bank has a broad 53,000 - 54,500 range currently. MFI stocks like CreditAccess Grameen and others will be in focus today, along with names like L&T, after its clarification on the West Asia war. Vedanta will announced its third interim dividend today as well.
