Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:  The Indian markets are trading under pressure amid high volatility, exhibited by an 18% rise in India VIX.

The Nifty is down nearly 300 points, trading below the 25,000 mark. The Sensex index is also down, falling close to 900 points and falling towards the 80,000 mark.

This, after Brent crude crossed the $80 per barrel mark as trade resumed after the Israel-Iran conflict developed into a full-blown war across the Gulf region. The US Dollar has risen, as have prices of Gold and Silver.

The index will now first fight to hold the 25,000 mark, following which, levels of 24,850 and then the Budget-day low of 24,571 also open up on the downside.

Oil-linked stocks will be in focus today, such as ONGC, Oil India, HPCL and the likes, along with Aviation and Tourism names, and of course, stocks with exposure to the middle east, such as L&T, KEC , VA Tech Wabag, and others.
