Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:  The Indian markets are trading under pressure amid high volatility, exhibited by an 18% rise in India VIX.

The Nifty is down nearly 300 points, trading below the 25,000 mark. The Sensex index is also down, falling close to 900 points and falling towards the 80,000 mark.

The index will now first fight to hold the 25,000 mark, following which, levels of 24,850 and then the Budget-day low of 24,571 also open up on the downside.

L&T, IFCI, Valor Estate, Kalpatru, Godrej Agrovet, MMTC, and Railtel are among the biggest losers in the Nifty 500 stocks.
