Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is trading in deep red, as the 50-stock index is up down about 150 points. The index has now fallen below 25,100 mark. The Sensex index is down 500 points, inching towards the 81,000 mark. Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Hindalco, NTPC and Axis Bank are among the major losers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is down around 150 points. The index has fallen below the 25,100 mark. This has come to pass after the markets started the day on a high note with gains.
The Sensex index is also down, having fallen from the early highs. The index is down close to 500 points, falling well below the 81,000.
Volatility is expected to be the theme of the day, as today is the weekly expiry of the NSE contracts.
The Nifty PSU bank index is under immense pressure and is trading with losses of about 1.5%.
HCLtech, after a jittery pre-open session, has risen in value by over 1% after delivering strong Q2 results.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Dixon Tech, Ola Electric, Indian Overseas Bank, Natco Pharma, UCO Bank, and Pirmal Pharma apart among others.
Apart from HCLTech, Tech Mahindra will become the third IT major to report results today after TCS and HCLTech, while IREDA, Bank of Maharashtra, Persistent Systems, ICICI Lombard and ICICI Prudential are some of the other companies reporting results today.
