Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are banking on the interim optimism, as the Nifty index is up over 300 points, jumping to 22,800. The Nifty bank index is up over 900 points, rising to 52,500. Shriram Finance, IndiGo and Eicher Motors are among the biggest gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are surging back to some form. The Nifty is up over 300 points, jumping towards 22,900. The Sensex is also up, rising over 1,000 points, rising to 73,800.
Today is the Nifty weekly expiry. The Nifty, after another 600-point fall on Monday and another ₹15 lakh crore rout, is primed for a bounce today.
The Nifty Bank is also on the rise. The Banking index has surged over 1000 points, jumping towards the 52,900 mark.
Oil prices still remain at elevated levels, even if not at $100 a barrel. A potential reversal in the currency should also be watched. 23,000 is a key level for the Nifty, followed by the 23,200 - 23,300 zone, which has acted as a recent barrier.
The Nifty Bank's fate lies in HDFC Bank's hands, where sentiments continue to remain subdued. Oil sensitivities will be back in focus after the overnight price action.
