Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:The Nifty eventually closed below the 24,850 mark on Tuesday, dragged lower mainly by private financials. The Nifty Bank remains above the 55,000 mark, but just like the Nifty, is struggling to find the decisive push to retest its record highs.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets, despite a strong handover from the US markets, opened flat. The Nifty index started the day's trade below 24,850. The Sensex index also opened with minor cuts below 81,450.
The markets head into the new trading session on the back of a strong handover from Wall Street, although much of it was already anticipated after the tariff deadline delay over the weekend. The monthly expiry of the Sensex contracts on Tuesday brought with it the volatility that has become the feature of most expiry sessions in recent times. The Nifty eventually closed below the 24,850 mark on Tuesday, dragged lower mainly by private financials. The Nifty Bank remains above the 55,000 mark, but just like the Nifty, is struggling to find the decisive push to retest its record highs. For the Nifty, 25,100 continues to be the first barrier, and Monday's high of 25,079 will be the first important level to watch in case of any rebound. The final leg of the earnings season brings reactions from stocks like LIC, NMDC, Hindustan Copper, Bharat Dynamics, Bosch and EID Parry.
