Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: At the halfway mark of the day's trade, after the RBI governor's statement on possible fuel price hike, the markets have rocketed. The market, after being under pressure, is now looking up. The Nifty is up over 200 points, trading above the 23,500 mark. Nifty Bank is up 500 points, rising to 53,300. Asian Paints, Bharat Electronics, and Hindalco are the top gainers.

The Nifty has made a remarkable recovery from the lows of the day, and is now down about 200 points, rising to 23,500. The Sensex is also up, jumping above 75,000.
The bulls will now look to arrest this four-day losing streak, which has dragged the index below key supports and into oversold territory.
The first task for the Nifty bulls will be to reclaim 23,500 and sustain above that. On the downside, 23,200 and 23,000 will be the next important levels.
The Nifty Bank knocked off another 800 points and has lost nearly 4,000 points from the April 21 high. Cipla, Bharti Airtel, PFC, HPCL report results today.
