Siemens Energy India will be listed on the stock exchanges separately. The company said this will lead to value unlocking.
Siemens Ltd. shares are in focus on Wednesday, March 26, after the Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has given its approval for the demerger of the company and Siemens Energy India Ltd.
The equity allotment ratio for this demerger has been fixed as 1:1, which means that Siemens shareholders will receive one equity share each of Siemens Energy India for every one share that the own as of the record date.
The record date to determine the allotment eligibility has been fixed as April 7, 2025. Appointed date for the demerger is March 1, 2025 and the demerger is effective from March 25.

Guilherme Vieria De Mendonca, who was previously the head of Siemen's energy business, has now been appointed as the MD and CEO of the demerged entity. Meanwhile, Harish Shekar, who was previously the finance head of the energy business, has now been appointed as its executive director and CFO.
The parent company Siemens AG had demerged its energy business globally in 2020. The Indian company Siemens Ltd.'s demerger of its energy business is in continuation of the same.
Siemens Ltd reported a 21.5% increase in its December quarter net profit to 614.6 crore from the previous year's 505.7 crore. However, its consolidated revenue declined 3.3% to 3,587.2 crore from 3,709.5 crore in the year-ago period. Its EBITDA too slipped 11.5% to 401 crore from the previous year's 453 crore. The company's margin contracted to 11.2% from 12.2% in the year-ago period.
Shares of Siemens Ltd. gained 2.2% lower on Tuesday at ₹5,108. The stock is down 37% from its recent peak of ₹8,129.
