Hours after Iranian state media announced the death of their supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, explosions were heard across the Gulf cities of Dubai, Doha, Qatar and Manama, leading to sirens being activated.
Explosions were also heard in Tehran, according to Iranian media.
