These countries have issued advisory for Iran as conflict with US looms

As the US-Iran tension continues to mount and negotiation talks have failed to achieve any breakthrough so far, multiple countries have issued advisories for both Tehran and Israel. These have been issued to dependents and family members of embassy officials as well as citizens.

The Donald Trump-headed US administration has already strengthened its military buildup in the Middle East, even as both Washington and Tehran look to achieve diplomacy. Oman, which is mediating the talks, said that the US and Iran made progress, but a deal is yet to be achieved to avert Washington's potential strike on Tehran. Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi will hold talks with US Vice President JD Vance and other officials in Washington on Friday. The US and Iran will continue their talks next week in Vienna.

HERE ARE THE COUNTRIES THAT HAVE ISSUED ADVISORIES:

1. THE UK: The UK has temporarily withdrawn its staff from Iran, citing the security risk in the Middle East. Britain's foreign office said its ability to assist UK nationals was now extremely limited, considering the embassy was functioning remotely and did not have any in-person consular support available.

2. THE US: The US Embassy in Jerusalem said that they will allow non-emergency government officials and family members to leave Israel for security reasons.

2. CHINA: Beijing has asked its citizens in Israel to tighten security arrangements and emergency preparedness. It has also issued an advisory for Iran, urging citizens to avoid travelling to the country and urged those present to evacuate as soon as possible.

3. GERMANY: The German embassy warned that Iran's security situation is extremely volatile and military clashes could break out any moment. It added that air traffic restrictions such as airspace closures and flight restrictions can take place any time.

4. INDIA: The Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised its citizens to leave the West Asian nation using any available means of transport.

5. POLAND: Polish PM Donald Tusk asked his citizens to leave Iran "immediately, and under no circumstances travel to this country". He said the possibility of a conflict is "very real" and in the later stages, evacuation might not be possible.

6. SWEDEN: Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard asked all Swedish nationals to leave the country immediately and not travel there.

7. SERBIA: The Serbian Foreign Ministry urged citizens not to travel to Iran in the coming days and called on those present in the West Asian nation to leave immediately.

8. SOUTH KOREA: The South Korean embassy warned of "rapidly escalating regional tensions" due to the US-Iran tension, and asked citizens to leave as soon as possible, while urging them to cancel or postpone any travel to the West Asian nation.
