US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to speak on Friday (September 19) as both countries work to finalise a framework for a TikTok deal.
The announcement came from US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during a media briefing in Madrid, Spain.
“We have a framework for a TikTok deal. The two leaders, President Trump and Party Chair Xi, will speak on Friday to complete the deal," Bessent said.
