Donald Trump slams Iran’s missile attack on Israel, claiming such events didn’t happen during his presidency. The US military is aiding Israel, as global tensions rise.

Former US President Donald Trump has strongly condemned Iran’s missile attack on Israel, releasing a fiery outburst on Truth Social. Earlier today, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Iran had fired over hundreds of missiles into Israel, prompting widespread Red Alerts across central and southern regions of the country. The IDF advised all civilians to seek shelter in bomb shelters as the missile barrage threatened over 10 million Israelis.

Trump’s Outburst

Trump took to his social media platform to criticise the current state of global affairs under President Joe Biden’s administration. In a heated post, Trump declared, “Look at the World today — Look at the missiles flying right now in the Middle East, look at what’s happening with Russia/Ukraine, look at Inflation destroying the World. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED IF I WERE PRESIDENT!"

US and UN Response

In response to the escalating conflict, President Joe Biden has ordered US military intervention to assist Israel by intercepting Iranian missiles. Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for an immediate ceasefire, urging both Israel and Iran to de-escalate the growing tension.

Attack Details

According to the Israeli military, the missile strike from Iran came as retaliation for Israel’s recent operations in Lebanon and the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, as well as Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a Tehran bombing, which Iran blamed on Israel. Explosions were reported over Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv, Israel’s commercial hub, was also targeted.

Airspace Closures

Amid the attacks, Israel closed its airspace, with all flights being diverted. Iraq and Jordan, both located between Iran and Israel, also took precautionary measures by closing their own airspace to prevent further escalation.
