The United States has agreed to “pause" the start of tariffs on Mexican goods for one month, President Claudia Sheinbaum said Monday after talks with her counterpart Donald Trump.

As part of a series of agreements, Mexico will deploy 10,000 members of the Guard along the border with the United States to fight drug trafficking, she announced.

US President Donald Trump also confirmed the one-month ‘pause’ in Mexico tariffs.
