Heathrow Airport is closed until 23:59 on March 21 due to a major power outage caused by a fire at an electrical substation. Passengers are advised to avoid the airport route.

Britain’s Heathrow Airport closed down until midnight on March 21 after it experienced a significant power outage due to a fire at an electrical substation.
The airport also urged passengers to avoid travelling towards the airport and said passengers should contact their airline for information.
“Due to a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, Heathrow is experiencing a significant power outage. To maintain the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Heathrow will be closed until 23h59 on 21 March," a post on the airport’s X handle read.
“Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport and should contact their airline for further information. We apologise for the inconvenience," it added.
Meanwhile, multiple videos on social media showed massive flames at the airport’s electrical substation.
