A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar caused an under-construction skyscraper in Bangkok to collapse. Multiple videos of the collapse were being shared on social media.

An under-construction skyscraper in Bangkok collapsed on Friday after two strong earthquakes, measuring 7.7 and 6.4 struck Myanmar.
The tremors were felt in neighbouring countries, including Thailand.
Multiple videos on social media showed lamposts shaking on the road, while the skyscraper could be seen rumbling down due to the effect of the tremors.
Another video, shot by commuters on a street showed the skyscraper rumbling down.
Two other closeup videos showed the moment the skyscraper collapsed in Bangkok. However, News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

According to some media reports, the Ava Bridge in Myanmar also collapsed due to the effect of the earthquake.
The Center for Seismology stated that the earthquake hit at around 11.50 am at a depth of 10 km.
