US Attacks Venezuela LIVE Updates: Days after being flown to New York after his dramatic seizure in Caracas during a US military operation, deposed Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro pleaded “not guilty” on Monday as he made his first appearance before a US federal court in Manhattan on drug trafficking and narco-terrorism charges.
The 63-year-old former leader was accused by US authorities of heading a state-backed drug trafficking network that conspired with international criminal groups to smuggle large quantities of cocaine into the US.
