A United States Embassy branch in Tel Aviv was hit in the Iranian missile strikes as military conflict with Israel entered its fourth day on Monday, a top official said.
Mike Huckabee, the US Ambassador to Israel, said on social media that minor damage was reported near the branch office in the city after “concussions of an Iranian missile hit nearby".
No US personnel were injured in the incident; however, the US Embassy in the country and its consulate remain closed today due to the ongoing shelter-in-place order.
Our @usembassyjlm US Embassy in Israel & Consulate will officially remain closed today as shelter in place still in effect. This comes as Israel and Iran continued to fire missiles and drones at each other on Sunday night and early Monday morning.
A day earlier, US President Donald Trump had warned Iran against striking any US assets, threatening “full might of the armed forces" if they do so.
“The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before. However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict," Trump had said on Truth Social on Saturday (local time).
