Trump also hinted at possible military action, stating the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean may be required if Iran fails to agree to a deal.
Meanwhile, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged citizens to leave Iran immediately, warning that the situation could deteriorate rapidly and evacuation may soon be impossible within hours.
Iran has also stepped up military activity, conducting naval drills with Russia and live-fire exercises near major shipping routes, while the United States positioned an aircraft carrier and additional combat aircraft nearby.
The growing standoff has triggered global concern over a wider regional conflict, with several countries calling for restraint and diplomacy as oil prices react to the uncertainty.
