A single-engine plane carrying five persons crashed in a parking lot near Lancaster airport in Pennsylvania, on Sunday, leaving several vehicles burnt as it exploded on impact.
The plane came down in Brethren Village, Manheim Township, just moments after it took off from nearby Lancaster Airport during the afternoon, according to officials.
They added that all five people aboard the plane were severely injured in the plane crash and were rushed to the hospital where they are getting treatment. The official further informed that no one was injured on the ground involving the plane crash.
According to a witness Brian Pipkin, who was driving nearby and saw a small plane climbing and then plunging to its left before it crashed, said “And then it went down nose first. There was an immediate fireball. It was so smoky and it was so hot. They were really struggling to get the fire out," reported AP.

Dramatic ATC Audio Released
A terrifying air traffic control (ATC) audio recording emerged, shedding light on the moments leading up to a fiery plane crash near Lancaster Airport in Pennsylvania.
The ATC audio revealed that the pilot reported an open door and loud wind noise moments before crashing in the public area. “According to new audio, the pilot was heard telling ground agents that there was an open door and he couldn’t hear anything because of the wind noise," said an X user who shared the audio.
“Pull up… the aircraft is down just behind the terminal in the parking lot tree area," the air traffic controller could be heard saying.
