The Dow futures, which at one point were up nearly 700 points, are currently higher by 400 points, while futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up 65 points and 250 points respectively. US Stock Market Live: Futures on Wall Street have trimmed some of the early euphoria of trade but are holding on to substantial gains. The Dow futures, which at one point were up nearly 700 points, are currently higher by 400 points, while futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up 65 points and 250 points respectively. US President Donald Trump stating that he has no intentions to fire Fed Chair Jerome Powell and that he will be "very nice" to China while negotiating a trade deal are some of the big triggers behind the move in the futures market. In regular trading on Tuesday, Bloomberg reported that US treasury secretary Scott Bessent said that the current tensions with China are unsustainable and he expects a de-escalation soon. The newsflow has triggered a rebound in the US Dollar and profit booking in gold. Asian markets have opened higher as well, with Chinese stocks in Hong Kong rallying in early trade.
