US Stock Market LIVE: Wall Street is set to begin trading on a strong note, continuing from where they left off on Tuesday. Futures are pointing to further strength after multiple positive news reports. The Dow Futures are still up 600 points, while those on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up 110 points and 440 points respectively. The futures are indicating a strong start after US President Donald Trump's U-turn on both tariffs and on Jerome Powell. He said he does not think he will play hardball with China and that the 145% tariff levy is very high. He also said that he has no intention to fire Fed Chair Jerome Powell but he should be more open to the idea of cutting interest rates. The newsflow triggered a rebound in the US Dollar, and profit booking in gold prices as sentiment turned risk-on again. Asian markets ended higher, while European indices are also trading with gains.
