A video has gone viral on social media showing what appears to be an Iranian Shahed drone, nose-diving into an area in Dubai's popular Palm Jumeirah area before turning into an inferno. A loud bang could be heard as the warhead hit the heavily populated area right in the middle of Dubai.
News agency Reuters reported that emergency response teams responded to an incident in the area and that four individuals were injured. Another video showed several parts of a building in the Palm Jumeirah area in a massive blaze, following the Iranian drone strike.
The exact target location of the Shahed drone, which is also referred to as a kamikaze or suicide drone, remains unknown.
