Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, saying it as a vision for a self-reliant and developed Bihar.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that the manifesto clearly presents the NDA’s roadmap to make life easier for every section of society — including farmers, youth, women, and all families of Bihar.

“The NDA’s manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections clearly brings forward our vision for a self-reliant and developed Bihar. It reflects our commitment to making life easier for the farmers, brothers and sisters, youth companions, mothers and sisters here, as well as all my family members of the state," he said in a post on X.

In another X post, PM Modi praised the “double-engine government" of the NDA in Bihar and asserted that the alliance has left no stone unturned in ensuring all-round development in the state.

“The state’s double-engine government has left no stone unturned in ensuring all-round development of Bihar, as a result of which our state has witnessed major transformations. We are determined to accelerate this momentum further and make good governance the foundation of prosperity for every individual," he said.

Expressing confidence in the people’s support, PM Modi said he was sure that the public would give the NDA’s efforts their full backing in the upcoming elections.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah described the document as a “vision for a self-reliant, developed Bihar", promising that every section of society—from farmers and women to youth and entrepreneurs—will benefit from inclusive policies.

What’s In The Manifesto?

The BJP-led alliance unveiled its joint manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, pledging a comprehensive development roadmap, with an assurance of one crore government jobs and a flood-free Bihar within five years. At its core, the manifesto groups its 25 resolutions into six broad focus areas.

It promised enhanced women’s empowerment schemes and robust improvements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. It also highlighted commitments to make Bihar a global skill hub, industrial centre, and cultural tourism destination.

The NDA assured over 1 crore jobs through government and private opportunities, skill census and mega skill centres in every district. If voted to power, NDA said it would provide Rs 10 lakh financial aid for the various Economically Backward Class communities and a high-level committee under a retired Supreme Court judge for fair upliftment measures.

The NDA has also promised to build 50 lakh new pucca houses and provide free ration, 125 units of free electricity, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, and social security pension under the PM Awas Yojana.

Bihar Polls 2025

The 243-member Bihar assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results set to be announced on November 14.
