Vivo is all set to expand the lineup of its flagship X series smartphones with the launch of its new Vivo X200 Ultra in China soon. Ahead of its official launch, a company executive has dropped a new teaser on social media, revealing the design of the forthcoming device.

As per the clip, the Vivo X200 Ultra is likely to feature a dedicated camera control button, similar to what Apple unveiled with the latest iPhone 16 series.

According to reports, Vivo’s Product Manager, Han Bo Xiao, posted a teaser on Weibo showing off the central frame of the Vivo X200 Ultra. The handset is seen next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, showcasing its smaller design. It is said to have a ‘V-shaped’ design and will feature a new ‘dedicated’ camera button on the edge for clicking pictures.

The Vivo X200 Ultra’s camera button has a blue strip and allows for sliding motions. It resembles a side fingerprint sensor and is easily used with the thumb. The CEO claims that the button will provide a different experience while clicking photos or changing settings in landscape mode.

Similarly, all the iPhone 16 series models, including the base variant, Pro and the Pro Max, come with a dedicated camera button on the side that allows you to easily launch the camera app.

Vivo has already revealed the upcoming device’s camera enhancements and capabilities in the previous teasers on social media. It will arrive with the Vivo V3+ chip and a VS1 chip for imaging.

Other expected features of the forthcoming device include a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO BOE micro-quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera for close-up pictures. The device is said to pack a huge 6,000 mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.

The device is said to arrive in the Chinese market in April 2025. However, the firm has yet to reveal an exact launch date and details about the pricing of the device.
