Michelle Obama, the former first lady, recently opened up about her family dynamics in a candid conversation on the Not Gonna Lie podcast with Kylie Kelce. Michelle, who shares daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23, with her husband, former US president Barack Obama, revealed their differing views on family size.

While Michelle expressed satisfaction with their two daughters, Barack suggested having a third. Michelle, however, was firm in her decision, joking, “Dude, I think I’ve been lucky with these two.”

The conversation took a heartfelt turn as Michelle shared her experiences with motherhood, especially the challenges of postpartum. She also recalled the deep love and connection she felt for her newborns, yet also the overwhelming sense of responsibility and guilt. “You love these babies so much... and you think, ‘Oh my god, all you have is me.’”

Both Michelle and Kylie, who are mothers to girls, also reflected on the role of their husbands as “girl dads.” Michelle humorously stated that Barack “needed a bunch of women in his life to smack him around.”

Amid speculations about her potential presidential run, Michelle stated that she had no interest in politics. Her decision is rooted in her desire to protect her daughters from the public eye.

“They’ve already served their time,” she said, highlighting her commitment to her family’s privacy and well-being over any political ambitions.
