RV Deshpande, Karnataka Congress MLA from Haliyal, sparks outrage with remarks on hospital demand in Uttara Kannada

A remark by senior Karnataka Congress MLA RV Deshpande during a public interaction has sparked outrage after he made a seemingly flippant comment to a woman journalist asking about the lack of hospital facilities in the Joida taluk of Uttara Kannada.
When the journalist pointed out that pregnant women in the area were struggling due to the absence of a hospital, Deshpande replied with a smile and a wink, “Don’t worry, we’ll get yours done elsewhere."
Taken aback, the journalist sought clarification. The MLA, however, repeated the remark, saying, “When it’s time for your delivery, we will get it done."
