A pizza delivery woman has been arrested for repeatedly stabbing a pregnant woman in front of her young daughter for giving a bad tip. The incident took place in Florida.
According to a Fox News report, Brianna Alvelo, 22, delivered pizza to the victim at a motel.
The victim was staying with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter.
After the victim paid for the $33.10 pizza with a $50 bill and requested change, Alvelo told her that "they don’t provide change."
The victim then asked for her money back and tried to find smaller bills.
Eventually, she paid for the order and gave Alvelo a $2 tip.
The victim later told investigators that Alvelo "rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything" after receiving the tip.
However, later that evening, Alvelo returned to the motel room after the victim's boyfriend and daughter had fallen asleep. She was accompanied by an unknown male suspect armed with a firearm.
The two barged into the room and the male suspect allegedly pointed the gun at the victim and her daughter before forcing the victim’s boyfriend into the bathroom.
While the male suspect held the boyfriend at gunpoint, Alvelo began rummaging through the victim's belongings. Alvelo, armed with a knife, then attacked the victim.
The assault stopped when the male suspect allegedly yelled that it was time to leave.
The victim was rushed to the hospital following the stabbing where she underwent surgery and learned that she was several weeks pregnant. She is currently in a stable condition.
On Monday, police arrested Alvelo. She is currently lodged in the Osceola County Jail without bond.
She faces multiple charges, including home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Deputies are still working to identify the male suspect involved in the attack.
A spokesperson for Marco’s Pizza, where Alvelo worked as a delivery driver, expressed sadness over the incident, stating that the local owner and team are fully cooperating with authorities. The spokesperson emphasized that the safety and well-being of customers and team members are a top priority.
