The White House released photos on Saturday showing US President Donald Trump closely overseeing ongoing American military operations in Iran under what American officials have codenamed 'Operation Epic Fury.'

The images capture what the White House described as tense moments as Trump and Vice President JD Vance directed the strikes from separate locations hundreds of miles apart.

Wearing a "USA" cap, Trump led discussions from Mar-a-Lago, where he is spending the weekend. Photographs shared by the White House show him seated with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine as they monitored developments.

Meanwhile, Vance coordinated from the White House Situation Room in Washington, joined by Director of Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Energy Secretary Chris Wright. The Situation Room was dialled into Mar-a-Lago via secure conference call.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said earlier that "the President and his national security team will continue to closely monitor the situation throughout the day."

The president has also spoken with regional and international leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Saudi and Gulf leaders, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as diplomatic engagement continues alongside military operations.

Operation Epic Fury', or as Israel calls it – Operation Roar of the Lion – began Saturday with joint US-Israeli missile strikes targeting sites across Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran and other major cities. The strike marks one of the most significant escalations in regional tensions in years, raising concerns about a wider Middle East conflict.
