‘Who Did What For Lalu Ji’: Rohini Acharya Questions RJD Leadership, Demands Accountability

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on the party’s current leadership, invoking “Laluvad" as a struggle for the marginalised and urging workers to speak up without fear.

In a strongly worded post on X, she questioned those responsible for what she described as the party’s deteriorating condition and accused leaders of avoiding accountability.

“Who did what for Lalu ji and the party" is already clear from the Lok Sabha results, the recently concluded Assembly election outcomes and the party’s present state, Acharya wrote. She alleged that those entrusted with responsibility, along with their “imported mentors and the henchmen of those mentors", had erased decades of struggle by committed party workers and pushed the party “to the brink of ruin".

She said questions had been raised earlier, were being raised now and would continue to be raised, adding that those in charge should have the moral courage to face them on an open platform.

Acharya further wrote that every sincere party worker and well-wisher was asking why “those few lowly people" were made all-powerful while sidelining Lalu Prasad Yadav, what they had actually done for the party, and what action followed the so-called review. She questioned why the review report had not been made public and why no action had been taken against those named or questioned in it.

The post comes amid an escalating family and party rift after the RJD’s poor showing in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Acharya has repeatedly accused “infiltrators and conspirators" of undermining Lalu Prasad Yadav’s legacy and hinted that continued silence from the current leadership amounts to complicity, even as rival parties have sought to capitalise on the internal crisis.
