Leavitt gained recognition as the spokesperson of Trump’s transition team due to her strong defence of him in the media during the election campaign.
Hailing from New Hampshire, her journey to the new position has come this long due to her notable communication skills and loyalty to Trump. She entered politics as a summer intern in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence ahead of starting senior year in college.
After her graduation, she became a part of the White House Press Office as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany in Trump’s first presidency from 2017 to 2021.
