Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday extended a congratulatory message to US President-elect Donald Trump over his poll victory and called for properly managing differences and strengthening dialogue between the two countries.
Xi’s remarks came a day after Trump secured a return to the White House in a history triumph over Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the race to the Over Office.
According to media reports, Xi batted for the US and China to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
“I urge China and the US to expand mutually beneficial cooperation," Xi said. “I call for the right way for China, and the US to get along in the new era. Both the countries should strengthen dialogue and communication," he said.
