Apple AirTag could soon have a new cheaper rival in the market in the form of Xiaomi Tag that the brand is reportedly developing and likely to introduce in the near future. The details about the wireless tracker come straight from a tipster in China, who claims the brand is in the final stage of developing the device and is expected to be priced lower than the namesake product in the market.

Apple isn’t the only brand to have trackers in the market. You also have Motorola, Samsung and a few more who target buyers with their devices. Xiaomi could be the latest name in the hat and its appeal could be mostly linked to a competitive product with a lower price tag.

Xiaomi Tag Coming Soon: What It Might Offer

The tracker from Xiaomi is going to help you find misplaced items like the AirTag but this one should work with both Android and iOS devices. It should get Ultra-Wideband support (UWB) which makes it easy to track down the keys, wallet or even the earbuds with precise location data.

Xiaomi Tag launch could happen as early as this month when the Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship device is rumoured to launch in China. Xiaomi’s tracker, as per the tipster, could be priced below $25 (Rs 2,250 approx) which makes it more affordable than AirTag and it also works across platforms which the Apple device does not.

The company is also going to have a busy start to 2026 with the Redmi Note 15 launch in India confirmed for early next month.

Xiaomi is looking to make a strong comeback in the market after a slow 2025 that saw its position slip down from rivals and the Redmi Note 15 could have a big say on how the year pans out.

The Redmi Note 15 series made its debut in China but we can expect Xiaomi to make some tweaks for the Indian model. The teaser shows us a sleek phone, most likely sporting a curved AMOLED display and with a triple camera system at the back. The finishing of the phone also seems to have metal involved which suggests the Redmi Note 15 will be a premium looking device.
